Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) is a critical part of patient safety and quality healthcare. It helps reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and protects both patients and healthcare workers. Without strong IPC practices, hospitals and clinics become high-risk areas for infection spread.
This training is designed to equip healthcare workers with the knowledge and practical tools needed to apply safe and effective infection control measures. It covers core IPC principles, hygiene practices, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), environmental safety, and outbreak response. With simplified lessons, real examples, and interactive tools, this training prepares teams to implement international IPC standards effectively in any healthcare setting.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the importance of IPC in healthcare settings.
- Recognize how infections spread in clinical environments.
- Apply standard and transmission-based precaution.
- Use PPE correctly and safely.
- Promote hand hygiene practices.
- Manage environmental cleaning and waste disposal.
- Respond to infection outbreaks effectively.
This course is ideal for:
- Frontline medical staff.
- Hospital cleaning staff.
- Emergency response workers.
- Supervisors and health managers.
- Community health clinic staff.
- Nurses and nurse assistants.
- Pharmacists and lab technicians.

This course combines instructor-led sessions, visual tools, case scenarios, and hands-on demonstrations. Participants engage with short videos, group discussions, quizzes, and real-world examples from hospitals and clinics. Downloadable guides and checklists will support application in the workplace.
Day 5 of each course is reserved for a Q&A session, which may occur off-site. For 10-day courses, this also applies to day 10
