Course Summary

In today's rapidly changing business environment, effective strategic planning and project management are indispensable for organisational success. This course equips participants with the skills and techniques necessary to navigate uncertainties and manage projects from initiation to closure. This course equips participants with the skills and techniques necessary to navigate uncertainties and manage projects from initiation to closure. Through practical financial modelling and analysis, attendees will learn how to make informed decisions and drive strategic initiatives within their organisations.  

This course utilises a comprehensive and interactive approach to learning, combining theoretical instruction with practical exercises. Participants will engage in lectures, hands-on activities, and group discussions to master strategic project planning and financial analysis. Real-world case studies and scenario-based tasks will enable attendees to practically apply project management concepts and financial modelling techniques. Using Excel for predictive analytics and data visualisation will be emphasised through guided exercises. Reflective practices and self-assessment tools will help participants evaluate their progress and enhance their skills, ensuring they are prepared to drive strategic initiatives and manage projects effectively within their organisations.

  • Evaluating different organisational structures.  
  • Essential project management concepts, including project selection, prioritisation, and financial justification.  

Section 2: Project Planning and Financial Analysis  

  • Identifying project stakeholders.  
  • Introduction to Excel for predictive analytics and data visualisation.  
  • Building cash flow forecast and capital investment appraisal models.  

Section 3: Risk Management in Projects  

  • Understanding business breakdown structures and their application.  
  • Project scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.  
  • Risk assessment using qualitative and quantitative approaches.  

Section 4: Advanced Project Management Practices  

  • Implementing risk management strategies, including contingency and management reserves.  
  • Project closure and evaluation, managing key performance indicators (KPIs).  

Section 5: Organisational Change and Leadership in Projects  

  • Defining roles and responsibilities within project methodology.  
  • Becoming an effective project sponsor.  
  • Implementing project management and control systems.  
  • Proposing and managing organisational change.  

Certificate Description
