Project Managing Over Multiple Projects

Course Summary

Project managing over multiple projects requires a delicate balance of strategic planning, effective communication, and meticulous organisation. Each project comes with its own set of objectives, timelines, and stakeholders, demanding the project manager's adeptness in multitasking and prioritisation.

Clear allocation of resources, delegation of tasks, and regular monitoring of progress are essential to ensure that all projects stay on track towards their respective goals. Flexibility is key, as unexpected challenges and changes in priorities are inevitable. Strong leadership skills are paramount to motivating and guiding teams dispersed across various projects, fostering collaboration and synergy.

With a keen eye on the big picture and attention to detail, project managers navigate the complexities of managing multiple projects, orchestrating a harmonious symphony of tasks and deadlines to achieve overall success.

During this course, you’ll learn:

  • To foster positive stakeholder relations and align expectations.
  • To determine the order of importance and sequence various projects.
  • To handle time and stress management amidst several concurrent projects.
  • To navigate adeptly through the intricacies of managing multiple projects.
  • To employ suitable strategies for planning and overseeing multiple projects.
  • To utilise scheduling and estimation methodologies effectively.
  • To sustain a fluid and adaptable schedule across multiple projects.

This course uses a variety of adult learning styles to aid full understanding and comprehension. Participants will watch trainer-led presentations to understand the best project management tools available to maintain organisation on multiple projects.

They will review the biggest risk areas within each of their projects and go through various real-world case studies to understand how a risk assessment and cost-benefit analysis would work within a multi-project environment to achieve a substantial return on investment. They will then work together in groups to create a Gantt chart and RACI solution to suggest the most important stakeholders and a vision and timescale for projects.
