Supply Chain Management and Logistics

Course Summary

Having a reliable supply chain is essential to any growing and successful business. Your supply chain ensures that your business has all of the products and equipment to run productively.

Many factors must be considered when creating and maintaining a supply chain. You need to work with reliable suppliers, consider risks to your operation if problems occur, and have a plan B for business continuity if your supplier doesn’t show up.

You’ll also need to create good, mutually beneficial working relationships with your suppliers to ensure they supply on time so your delivery timescales aren’t affected. You’ll need to do all this within a budget your supplier should be happy with.

Having a responsive and reliable supply chain will require you to engage your best negotiation and time management skills to get the right people on board and work toward your strategic business plan.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of effective supply chain management in your organisation.
  • Develop techniques and tools to create a strategic plan for your supply chain.
  • Increase your negotiation skills and bring in the right people at the right price.
  • Utilise proper budget management techniques to deliver supply chain processes at the lowest cost.
